April Permits: Inca Trail Availability for APRIL 2019

The Classic Inca Trail (4D/3N) is by far one best trekking in the world leading to one of the World’s wonder- Machu Picchu. As long as permits to hike the Classic Inca Trail are limited we strongly recommend to book the trek as early as possible. Check the availability for April 2019 now on the calendar below and book your journey!

The Inca Trail permits are not officialy released yet for 2019 season. This release is planned for October 2018. However, as the permits for the first months of the season are quickly sold, you can pre book them in our contact form. You can also check avaiability for other months in the following table:

Classic Inca Trail

The Classic Inca Trail fits in only 26 miles (43 km) and it manages to combine beautiful mountain scenery, lush cloud-forest, subtropical jungle, and a stunning mix of Inca paving stones, ruins and tunnels. Got interested? Don’t wait check availability for April 2019 and book now!

Alternative tours to Machu Picchu

To limit damage to the trail, the Peruvian government now limits access to 500 persons per day, and that number includes also the staff supporting the trek like porters and cooks. Permits for the high season sell out months in advance. So we recommend for you to check availability for the month you requesting at least few months before you planning the trek, or choose alternative tours to Machu Picchu if all permits are sold out.

One of the most popular and most accessible trek is Short Inca Trail 2D/1N to Machu Picchu. You still will get to experience a part of mystical Inca Trail and reach the main destination Machu Picchu. We also offer other alternative treks like Lares Trek, Salkantay Trek, and Inca Jungle. There is also tours by train options.

Weather in April 2019

Weather in Cusco where you will start Inca Trail splits in two main seasons: dry-winter season from April to September, and wet-summer season from October to March. April’s temperature average for the Inca Trail is 18°C, with approximately 10 days with rainfall per month. In a high altitude nights getting pretty chilly.

  • Semana Santa (Holy Week), March and/or April — see March. Is celebrated all over the world. In Peru, the celebrations are most famous in the provincial city of Ayacucho, about 2 days travel (by bus) from Cusco. There is also lots of processions and religious festivals in Cusco.
