Itinerary with the Expedition Train to Machu Picchu
We will pick you up early in the morning at your hotel for a transfer by car to Poroy or Ollantaytambo Train Station (we’ll let you know which station once confirmed the tour), where you will board the Expedition train, for an amazing trip to Aguas Calientes, also known as Machu Picchu station because it is located next to the Inca citadel. But on the way, you will have the most wonderful experience of the Cusco Andes, with its massive green mountains, rivers, woods, typical villages and the reinvigorating and relaxing energy flow of highlands nature. It will be an unforgettable ride which takes you from the 3.486 meters above sea level of the Poroy train station on the Andes heights or from the 2792 meters above sea level of the Ollantaytambo Train Station to the 2.038 meters of Aguas Calientes, right on the border of the Peruvian western jungle, a great experience of Peru’s peculiar biodiversity.
Note we’ll go from Aguas Calientes to Machu Picchu on bus, for the professionally guided tour of the Inca sanctuary, after which you will have free time to continue exploring the citadel at your own leisure, for example, spending time again on this particular spot where you’ll find the most amazing view of the canyon.
