July Permits: Inca Trail Availability for JULY 2018

Thinking to do the Inca Trail this July 2018? We would strongly advise you to check availability and book the trek now. The Classic Inca Trail (4D/3N) been very popular for thousands of tourists from all over the world! Permits for the trek normally are sell out month before, so be quick and check availability, if you need any assistance with booking, contact us directly and we will help you out.

The Inca Trail permits are not officialy released yet for 2019 season. This release is planned for October 2018. However, as the permits for the first months of the season are quickly sold, you can pre book them in our contact form. You can also check avaiability for other months in the following table:

Classic Inca Trail

Classic Inca Trail is a stunning 26 miles (43 km) journey through ancient Inca’s trail surrounded by Inca paving stones, ruins and tunnels, leading to subtropical jungle and to the final goal – Machu Picchu. Alternative tours to Machu Picchu

Because Classic Inca Trail is very popular, it may happen that permits will be sold out before you book the trek, especially on a high season as July. Don’t worry, Tour in Peru has alternative tours for you.

Short Inca Trail

The most popular alternative is Short Inca Trail which takes total two days, one day of hiking the last part of Ancient Inca Trail and second day exploring Machu Picchu. Instead camping, you would stay the night in a hotel or hostel. Contact us directly to book or get more information about the Short Inca Trail, as there is no access for availability for the trek online. This is a great alternative to experience the original Inca Trail still and also if you short on time this is a trek for you.

Weather in July 2018

Cusco the city where you will start the trek has two mainly seasons during the year, the dry winter season from April to September, and the wet summer season from October to March. The average temperature in July is 17°C, days are mostly sunny, and the chances for rain is 2 days per month, of course, short rains during the day is always a possibility. Nights are chilly and can get up to -2°C.

  • 16 July – Virgen del Carmen. The festival itself consists of lots of traditional and significant dances by people in awesome costumes.
  • 26 July – Corpus of Santiago. Corpus de Santiago is a religious festival that takes place in Santiago Plaza, Cusco.
  • 27 July – Corpus of Santa Ana. Corpus of Santa Ana is a religious celebration performed in the chapel of Santa Ana, Cusco. The day before, a festive mass is celebrated with a procession, dances and musicians.
  • 28 July- Fiestas Patrias (National holiday). Most towns have lots of parades and bands.
  • 28 & 29 July – Yawar Fiesta. Yawar Fiesta is a ritual bullfight held during the “Fiestas Patrias” in the town of Cotabambas, in the Apurimac department.
