June Permits: Inca Trail Availability for JUNE 2018

As long as permits for the Classic Inca Trail (4D/3N) to Machu Picchu are sell out months before, and limits are applied, we would strongly recommend you check availability for June 2018 straight away and book a trek.

The Inca Trail permits are not officialy released yet for 2019 season. This release is planned for October 2018. However, as the permits for the first months of the season are quickly sold, you can pre book them in our contact form. You can also check avaiability for other months in the following table:

Most popular alternative is Short Inca Trail (2D/1N), this trek will allow you to explore the Ancient Inca Trail part skipping the camping, it’s a great idea to choose this trek if you short on time, or there is no Availability for the Classic Inca Trail.

Weather in June 2018

Weather in Cusco, where you start the Inca Trail splits in two main seasons. Dry season-from April to September and wet season-from October to March. The temperature in Cusco in June is around 19°C, and has approximately 9 hours per day sunshine. Nights can get chilly down to -2°C. The average of rainy days are only 2 per month.

  • Señor de Lord of Qoyllor Riti – Lord of Qoyllor Riti. One week before Corpus Christi (approx). A pilgrimage to a shrine in the op of a snow mountain. People go towards the mountain dancing and praying. Lots of typical food and music.
  • Corpus Christi. Thursday June 7- Procession of statues of saints around the Main Square of Cusco. Thousands of people prayng and admiring the statues receive the blessings from each of them.
  • Inti Raymi. 24 June. The greatest inca festival in the inca temple of Qoricancha, the Main Square and the fortress of Sacsayhuaman.
  • Feria Agropecuaria Huancaro. 18 to 30 June. Agricultural fair where you can find native plants and animals, organic food, typical dishes and music.
  • Chaccu in Pampa Galeras. June 24th (accessed via Nazca). Once a year, members of local communities gather to cooperate in a roundup of wild vicuñas for shearing and release, which is followed by celebration, food, and recognition of the traditional significance of the Alpaca.
  • Festival of Ollantay Raymi 29 June. Dramatization of the Andean play Ollantay. There is also typical food, dances and music too.
