Day 1 – Cusco – Ollantaytambo – Aguas Calientes:

4:30 p.m. Pick up from your hotel in Cusco.
4:30-6:30 We will go to Ollantaytambo by bus.

8:30 p.m. Reception at the train station in Aguas Calientes.

9:30-10:00 We will go by bus to Machu Picchu.

You will have free time to continue exploring and to take pictures.
1:00-6:00 Free time to return to Aguas Calientes by bus, have lunch, and look around the town.
6:30-8:20 Train to Ollantaytambo.
8:30-10:30 Return to Cusco by bus from Ollantaytambo.

Machu Picchu 2-day tour in detail

Day 1 Machu Picchu Tour: Cusco – Ollantaytambo – Aguas Calientes

We will pick you up from your hotel in the afternoon (about 4:30) and head to Aguas Calientes, a town near Machu Picchu.  We will travel by bus and train, arriving at about 8:45 p.m. You will meet with the guide at your hotel and he will tell you about the next day’s tour.

Day 2 Machu Picchu Tour: Aguas Calientes – Machu Picchu – Cusco 

After breakfast in the morning, we will board a bus to go to Machu Picchu.  The guided tour will last about 2 and a half hours.  You will have free time after that to continue looking around on your own and take pictures.  We will then return to Aguas Calientes, where you will have free time in the afternoon to have lunch, visit the town’s hot springs, or its market or museum.  At 6:30 p.m. we will return to Cuzco by bus and train, and arrive at about 10:30 p.m.
