May Permits: Inca Trail Availability for MAY 2019

Classic Inca Trail (4D/3N) been very popular last few years, and permits may be sold out months before. This year all permits for May 2019 are sold out already and there is no more availability. Cancellations or waiting list doesn’t exist for the Inca Trail. Check availability for the next months or year on a chart below!

The Inca Trail permits are not officialy released yet for 2019 season. This release is planned for October 2018. However, as the permits for the first months of the season are quickly sold, you can pre book them in our contact form. You can also check avaiability for other months in the following table:

Weather in May 2019

Weather divides in two main season during the year, the dry winter season from April to September, and wet summer season from October to March. The temperate average in May is 18 °C, keep in mind that in a high altitude the temperature you feel is higher. 8 hours sunshine per day and 6 days per month approximately as rainy days. Nights get chilly to 0 °C.

  • 3 May – Cruz Velacuy – Festival of the Crosses- This is a religious festivity brought by the Spanish and celebrated in Cusco and throughout the Andean region.
  • Señor de Qoyllor riti. Pilgrimage to the Sanctuary of Qoyllor riti in a snow mountain. People climb the mountain dancing and praying. Up in the church there is a traditional fair of souvenirs and religious items.
  • Señor de Choquekillka. It’s the patron festival of Ollantaytambo, and includes numerous processions and celebrations.

Even Classic Inca Trail is sold out for this May 2019, you still need to be prepared for the alternative tour you may choose. During all treks you will experience different temperatures and landscapes every day, so it is very important to get ready for the trek properly!
