Sacsayhuaman is an archaealogical site in Cusco, visited by many people yearly. The stones of Sacsayhuaman fit so perfectly that a knife cannot fit in between them. When the Spanish arrived, they could not believe that the local Indians had built it and thought that it was the work of demons. Many people still doubt the ability of the ancient Quechuas to build such a site, and believe that it was built by extraterrestrials.

95_bigDuring Inca times, Cusco had the shape of a puma, and Sacsayhuaman was the head. Sacsayhuaman is the route of many chincanas that are underground catacombs that connect this historic place to the other Inca structures.
